Village Halls
Fyne Homes were also asked to support Kilmun Village Hall by providing support to the group to identify suitable funding streams, including Loan Finance to resolve their current issues of funding for their village hall development. The project has had two specific areas of work; To provide building and development support and liaison with the construction sector to ensure the refurbishment work is completed. Lessons learned will provide the basis for a good practice guide. And To provide funding advice to identify potential avenues of support funding, both via loan and grant for specific activities to enable the group to move forward from their current funding crisis.
Fyne Homes has teamed up with the Kilmun Hall and Recreation Association to help develop a sustainability plan for the historical listed building which overlooks the Holy Loch.
The recently refurbished hall is an attractive venue available for social, educational and recreational purposes. The beautiful building, is a listed building of significant architectural importance is increasingly being used by local social and sport groups and has also been used to stage conferences and business events.
Fiona Fisher, Chair of the Kilmun Village Hall Group said: “Our village hall is a real hidden gem and the hall is located in a stunning location with breathtaking views overlooking the Holy Loch, which will help to raise awareness of this unique venue not only to those in Argyll and Bute but to people further a field.

Their help is greatly appreciated and together with the on going support of the dedicated members of the Kilmun Village Hall group we hope that the Hall will quickly become recognised as a unique venue for weddings, conferences and also provide a central meeting place for the community, bringing them closer together.”
Tarbert Village Hall opened its doors for business recently after a complete renovation and extension to include a youth facility. Fyne Homes was able to assist the village hall by securing £45k towards the refurbishment and extension costs.
