Community Projects
Our commitment to develop a physical asset base of housing for communities is matched by our desire to develop sustainable communities. Fyne Homes has a proven track record in securing external funding to enable us to deliver community regeneration and social enterprise activities which have a lasting benefit for the communities in which we operate.
We are about more than just building houses and collecting rents, we strive to improve the community for everyone.
This happens in various ways, such as liaising with local groups on specific projects and developing projects in response to needs identified by communities. Fyne Homes also gets involved in more generic projects and have been working with a range of partners to support construction excellence in Argyll and Bute. We have a specific interest in environmental sustainability, recognising the potential for sustainability and the valuable environmental assets within our area of operation.
At present our focus is in line with the Scottish Governments key priorities for the Fairer Scotland Fund in particular, to support action to tackle poverty. We will be taking forward projects which improve employability which help people to achieve employment and income maximisation for deprived tenants as well as early intervention with vulnerable households.
